Hello Kitty,

I guess I’d rather to write you in English since I don’t think you speak Indonesian. Well, I’m not sure that you understand English as well - but the probability must be higher.

This is a love and not a hate letter, even though this is my 13th letter, and the number 13 is believed as a bad luck number. But it’s not the reason why I write you this letter, really. Anyway, I am an honest person. So I wanna tell you that I am a dog and not a cat person - which means I hate cats. That’s OK with you, right?

You ask me, “Why?”

I have had some bad experiences with cats in my life. There was once I was a kid and my dog got killed by a virus that’s produced by cats and he got it when I took him for a walk. Secondly, when I was staying in my Singapore few years back, my landlady had lotsa cats as her pets. They were her babies. And they were just damn every effin’ where in the house, even in the kitchen. So there were many times I found cats’ fur on my food - which was so awful.

Now you some of the reasons why I hate cats, but don’t worry. You’re one of the cats that I can’t hate. Another one is a Japanese cat as well. Kanekineko. I love her for bringing good luck, as I was told. And you know that I believe those kind of stuff. Yes, I am superstitious. I want to collect Kanekineko, even - but it’s so hard to find them here. I saw on e-Bay there’s even pink Kanekineko in Japan. I want it so badly! Do you know anyone there who can send one to me? Thanks in advance.

I don’t collect Hello Kitty stuff, and I don’t intend to. But I just got a pair of Hello Kitty Glasses yesterday. I’d been eyeing on that stuff since I went to Semarang early this month at a night market. I didn’t bring enough cash at that time, so I couldn’t buy it. But finally now I have one. Any “yay” for me? The frame is with Lian now. She’s going to bring it to her optician to put the lenses and after that she will give it back it back to me. Most prolly today.

Now I’m excited! :D

I love you for not having a mouth. I bet you’re the most peaceful and quite cat in the whole wide world. Not to mention the red, or sometimes pink ribbon on your ear. It’s über cute! And the most thing I love about you is that you’re fictional! :D

Do you even purr? Or are you an introvert like me who prefers being alone and doesn’t talk at all to anyone when doesn’t feel like talking?

Another resemblance we share I think is your emotionless-ness. I don’t know the right word for that in English, but I’m sure you know what I mean, right? I am disturbed by people who are too emotionally clingy, who dramatize unecessary things, adults who talk like a baby to sound cute. Those “goo-goo-gaa-gaa” stuff. Yuck. I guess you’re agree with me, Mouthless Kitty.

I learned from the internet that your blood type is A. Mine, too! And you’re only five apples height. You’re short like me. Don’t worry, girl. Short people age better. Hehe. We also share the same favorite  word. “Friendship”! You’re good at making other people happy. So I was told, even though I often make people upset as well :D

We both really do share too many things together, Kitty. Maybe I am that Sherly - your twin sis - only less cuter :))

OK, dear. I guess you’re getting ready for a picnic with Dear Daniel soon. Have you put those apple pies in the basket? Mama’s still baking them? I should stop taking your time then. Ah. So I finally find something different between us. I have no boyfriend! Damn you :D
